Refurbishments
The boat has not undergone any refurbishments since its construction.
The deck was renewed in 2014 with Burmese teak, and two layers of fibreglass with epoxy were added between the base deck plywood and the new teak deck. Audax Marina
In 2017, two additional layers of E-Glass fibre with epoxy resin were applied over the original layers. The work was carried out at the Sinergia shipyard in Cartagena. It was finished with an epoxy barrier coat and topped with primer and International white topcoat.
General condition
The following photos describe the condition and layout of the boat.
HULL. In December 2016, the hull was sandblasted, left to dry for two months, and two layers of fibreglass with epoxy, epoxy barrier coats, levelling, primer and antifouling were applied to the underwater hull.
Stem, shaft, propeller, rudder
The bow and stem are made of bronze and are in perfect condition. The sternpost and rudder bushings were replaced during this dry-docking.
Seacocks: In good condition, made of bronze. The cockpit bilge valves were replaced in 2022.
Deck and Superstructure
The boat has no cabin or superstructure; the deck is arched to form the cabin.
The teak deck was renewed in 2012. Below deck, the mahogany panelling is preserved in good condition. The interior varnish is currently being renewed.
Accommodation: The varnish on the hull, bulkheads and fittings was renewed between 2013 and 2015. The varnish on the ceiling and floors is currently being renewed.
The following photos demonstrate the quality of construction and the good condition of the hull.
General condition of the boat in the expert’s opinion
The boat is in very good condition, both in terms of the hull and the rigging, and it has a new engine. Refurbishing the hull by drying it out and applying new fabric with epoxy and an anti-osmosis protective barrier could extend the life of this hull for another 50 years without any problems, just as it has been until now.

The construction is of high quality and fine timbers have been used, which has helped to keep it in good condition.
The quality and construction method used, with moulded frames and bronze rivets, shows that this is a boat built using cold-moulded timber to lighten the hull.
The semi-sandwich construction of wood clad with fibreglass and epoxy resin gives this boat the advantages of a modern fibreglass vessel, but with the comfort of wood.
The rigging and sails are in good condition, ready to sail in optimal conditions under both sail and motor.
