## Participation in the British Virgin Islands Regatta

Hello to all sailing enthusiasts!

We would like to share with you our amazing experience at the BVI Regatta, where we were honoured to participate thanks to the sponsorship of Virgin Gorda Harbour.

Our team was made up of a group of talented and passionate sailors. Juan, our skipper and owner, led the team with great skill. Alejandro, in his role as tactician, guided us strategically throughout the races. Darryl, our expert trimmer on the piano, trimmed the sails with precision, while Cat, nicknamed “our bow cat”, demonstrated impressive agility on the bow. Justin captured every exciting moment as our cameraman, and Luis, who manned the winches and genaker, was a key part of the team, as well as bringing Darryl and Cat from Antigua especially for the regatta. Alex and Simone also helped on the bow, ensuring that every manoeuvre was executed to perfection.

We participated in several races during our time in the BVI. We started with the Tortola Island regatta, followed by the Scrub Island regatta, and culminated with the three intense days of the BVI Spring Regatta. The first day was marked by strong winds that tested our skills, while the last three days were a different challenge due to the lack of wind. However, this did not stop us from enjoying every moment, both on the water and at the parties and events that were organised after the regattas.

Sailing in this area was a unique experience. The crystal clear waters and breathtaking scenery of the British Virgin Islands created the perfect backdrop for competition and fun. The camaraderie and team spirit we shared throughout these days made the experience unforgettable.
